I designed the logo above and then started looking for a typeface that fit what I was imagining for his brand, but I couldn’t find anything that matched exactly what I wanted. So I made the rational decision and set out to design one real quick. What was supposed to be a quick job, measured in months, ended up taking more than 2 years and resulted in Dona.
Two years to design a typeface is not the rule. It is possible to achieve a good result in less time than that. But I’m sure Dona wouldn’t be one of my personal favorites had I rushed the process.
And that’s why this kind of recognition fills me with joy. I’d like to thank Fontspring for our great partnership and invite you to check out the 45 Best Fonts of 2019 over at Fontspring.
